Looks like it's been a rough year for Fabolous after he was arrest and charged with assault for the beating of his girlfriend, and mother of his children, Emily B. Since then, it's looking like the two of them patched things up, but Fabolous still has to answer for the assault no matter what. In early June, Fabolous was reportedly finalizing a plea deal for the domestic abuse, and looks like through the plea deal will not be facing jail time.
According to reporters close to the case, Fabolous won't be facing jail time because he'll be pleading to a lesser charge. He appeared in Bergen County Superior Court earlier the other day for a disposition hearing, where his Layer spoke to the judge that Fabolous planned to take the deal.
What does this mean? It means that Fabolous will plead guilty to the lesser charge to avoid jail time, and then take part in a diversion program for first-time offenders. The pre-trial intervention will last for about six months to several years, and if completed successfully, the charges will then be wiped clean off of his record.
Let's hope that Fabolous learns his lesson from this case.
