Lucky Daye has had a heck of a life to say the least. Once, the New Orleans singer was trapped within a religious cult, and only the bravery of his Mother fleeing the organization during hurricane Katrina brought the young man away from the city, away from the machinations of a cult, and towards Texas (and then Atlanta) before he chose to become a singer.
Fast forward now to the modern day, and Daye is preparing a debut album via Keep Cool/RCA Records, and living high.
The first single “Roll Some Mo” as seen above finds a sultry smooth melody that speaks of R&B’s storied past, but mixes modern singing and lyrical styles.
And thanks to his ATL travels, he linked with tenured R&B producer D’Mile, who is executive producing his debut album, Painted.

What worries me is he is still young. A lot of dudes who come up from bad backgrounds and make it big, it seems to not end well for them. I hope he is one that makes it all the way. Gets his dream house, dream family, and dream career.
