I thought I would start one of these. In the last few months, I have felt more under stress than normal. I feel short of breath and work seems to be picking up too quickly for me to keep up with. Every time I see more work put on my table, I tense up a bit more and become more scared of falling behind or letting someone down. I get short of breath and dizzy, I am feeling it right now. It is a scary feeling. I'm just trying to focus on getting work done.

Can OCD only effect the mind or does it need to be carried on in action?

I have thoughts that seem to come and stick for a while and I have trouble focusing on something else. I think about horrible things like people I love being hurt or killed, me hurting someone be it a person or animal, and thoughts of catching an illness and dying from it.

#3 Depression » Feeling overwhelmed sometimes » 2020-06-16 21:53:44

I don't know if this is depression or not but at times, I feel so overwhelmed with what is going on in my general life and the world around me that I feel like I am going to snap in half. I worry and I just feel so down and out, even about things I should be happy for. I just can't bring myself to be fully happy because I am worrying too much.

#4 Eating Disorders » How common is bulimia in men/boys? » 2020-06-16 21:52:12

I know bulimia tends to be a thing for teenage girls and younger women but I recently met a man who said he struggled with it since he was 14. Now it makes me wonder how common this kind of disorder is in men and boys. Does anyone know the statistics?

I told myself this would be the year that I ate better and lost some weight. Nearly 6 months in and I have only lost maybe 4 pounds and I am still struggling to eat better. Does anyone have any tips for someone trying to lose weight that will help to stick to a plan?

#6 P.T.S.D » Can someone develop PTSD from abuse? » 2020-06-16 21:49:31

I have a question that pertains more to someone I know. They had very abusive parents. The mother was verbally abusive and the father was hands-on. As a result, she has developed anxiety, socializing issues, and I believe she has PTSD because she struggled with forming relationships with men. I am thinking this is down to her father abusing her. Can someone develop PTSD from something like this?

#7 Psychosis » What is the difference between psychosis vs depersonalization? » 2020-06-16 21:40:26

I have had issues with depersonalization in the past and on paper, it seems to be almost identical to psychosis which has me rather worried. What are the differences between the two, if any, and how does someone know if they are struggling with a case of depersonalization or something worse?

#8 Schizoaffective Disorder » Is Schizoaffective disorder like bipolar syndrome? » 2020-06-16 21:38:53

I often got these two confused. I had thought that a Schizoaffective disorder is the same as a bipolar one considering the shifts in mood changes, struggles with emotional balance, and all of that. Is this the same or is it entirely different?

#9 Schizophrenia » What are risk factors for developing Schizophrenia? » 2020-06-16 21:37:19

Someone in my family on my father's side was believed to have issues with this and ever since I found out, I have been worrying myself half to death. I have had on-going stress-induced stomach aches and trouble sleeping. I don't understand much about this condition but I am concerned that it is something I am at risk for now.

I hope everyone is doing well. I needed to find a forum to vent, seek out information, share experiences, and just talk with others who know what I have been through and what I am going through. I liked the look of this forum so I joined up. I figured I would start here and introduce myself. Hello everyone!
